This page should give you a quick guide to who we are, what we do and where and when we do it. If you want any more information on any of it, get in touch - details are below.

What we do and when we do it

The Canoe Club practises in the Sports Hub main pool from 8:30pm to 10:00pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. We usually finish off in the Dirty Duck. We use white-water boats and playboats to practise skills and techniques ready for the river! The Canoe Club heads off on various river and surf trips throughout the year - look out for details of them. If you are not sure what to expect, check out the reports and photos of our previous trips!

Whitewater canoeing

The Canoe Polo Club practices in the main campus pool from 8:30pm to 10:00pm on Tuesdays and Fridays, and 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Saturdays. Ball throwing practice is at Westwood Games Hall from 8:00am to 9:00am on Wednesdays. We use polo boats to train for and play a number of games of polo. The Canoe Polo Club takes part in various tournaments and local leagues and competes in the BUCS tournament in May. We also paddle on the River Leam most Wednesday afternoons. For more information about Canoe Polo, read our introduction to the sport.

If you haven't got any equipment, don't worry as we can lend you everything you'll need (apart from a swimming costume and towel!).
